Chicken Soup For The TV

I'm writing this from home, where I'm a little under the weather.

Fortunately, I'll have a lot of good TV to keep me company. Monday's schedule is so crowded with quality, I'll need the extra time to digest it all.

In what promises to be the fullest night of the week, you have Fox's very exciting if ridiculous shows with the return of "Prison Break" at 8 p.m., followed by "24."

NBC counters with the return of "Heroes" at 9 p.m., featuring Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) as a new, recurring member of the cast, followed by "Studio 60" at 10 p.m.

Not to be outdone, CBS returns its full lineup of comedy, beginning with the "How I Met Your Mother" new episode that was pre-empted last week in the wake of "24"-mania.

ABC can only muster new installments of "Wife Swap," "Super Nanny" and "What About Brian?" which I suppose is the ultimate in counter-programming, since I've never met anyone who actually watches those shows.

I love What About Brian! So, now you've heard of, though not met, someone who watches that show. As far as I know, the others are poop.

Zodin2008 said... like "Brian" and then follow that by calling some of the best shows on Television (24, Heroes, Mother, Break) POOP? I guess your not a TV fan? That's rather a ridiculous statement.

Anyway, onto people who seriously watch Television, I sadly have met a few "Brian" fans amongst my friends and somehow our friendships have survived anyway.

Yes, MONDAY is the best night on Television and ABC is not involved in that at all.

Phillip--feel better.

I feel your pain, friend. I'm getting over knee surgery and a staph infection, so I know what it's like not feeling good. But at least we got a great episode of Heroes tonight, right? Here's hoping you get to feeling better...

Thanks for the kind words.

I never criticize people's TV choices, no matter how different they are from my own. I'm not a "Brian" fan, but if anon enjoys it, more power to he or she.

I apologize for the confusion. I didn't mean that 24, Heroes, etc. were poop. I meant Wife Swap and Super Nanny!
